Sat, 03 May 2025 from 8:30am to 5:30pm at Dragon Orchard, Putley, HR8 2RG

We will be running the Cider and Perry Trials at Dragon Orchard in the Harry Taylor Memorial Hall (the Green Shed). 

Please note the following

• This is the entry form for the Novice competition.  This is restricted to makers who have been making cider or perry for less than three years and have not won in a previous Big Apple Cider and Perry Trials.  Others should enter the Main Competition.
• The closing date for entry is 5.00pm BST on Saturday 26th April.
• The event will be held at Dragon Orchard, Putley HR8 2RG.
• There are two classes – Class 7 is for draught cider and Class 8 for perry.
• You can enter a maximum of TWO entries, one in each class.
• Payment will be £4 per entry, and payment can be made using a credit or debit card after completing the form.
• We will be accepting your entries from 08.30 to 10.30 on Saturday 3rd May at Dragon Orchard. If you unable to be there at that time, we are also able to accept a limited number of entries on the evening of Friday 2nd May by prior arrangement between 17.30 and 19.00.
• Entries must be in clean, unmarked, glass 1 gallon/4.5 litre demi-johns as they go on display at the public event on the Sunday and Monday of the Blossomtime weekend.
• Judging will be carried out by the makers, as in the main competition, but we also ask a number of experienced makers to judge as well.
